[Leader — to confirm]

The Nurture Group is HBC’s preparation track for adults exploring church membership and believer’s baptism. It is a short course covering what HBC believes, what baptism means, what it means to join the church, and the practical realities of life in fellowship together.

The Nurture Group itself is not given a stand-alone chapter in the 2015 Anniversary Booklet — though the membership life it leads toward is described in detail at the back of that booklet, including the responsibilities of every received member: To live a life consistent with the Gospel and worthy of his or her high calling in Christ; to support the work of mission through BMS; to spend some time everyday in prayer and reading the scriptures; to share every Sunday unless unavoidably prevented, in the corporate worship of the church; to set aside proportion of income in tithes and offering for the work of God carried on and through our local Baptist church.

HBC conducts at least two baptismal services every year. The current Nurture Group leader, schedule and format should be confirmed with the team.
