📖 The Boy Who Ran from God

When the people of Nineveh heard Jonah's message - they BELIEVED. Every single person, from the youngest child to the oldest grandfather, stopped what they were doing. They put on rough clothes (called sackcloth) to show they were sorry. They stopped eating for a while (called fasting). They prayed. Even the KING took off his royal robes and sat in the dust. Did you know? Nineveh had over 120,000 people. That is like everyone in a big football stadium ALL deciding to follow God at the same time. Jonah's one sentence changed a whole city.
