Step 2: SINK (when we hit the bottom)
The sailors found out it was Jonah's fault.
"What should we do?" they asked.
"Throw me into the sea," Jonah said. "Then the storm will stop."
They threw Jonah overboard. He fell into the cold dark sea and began to sink.
Sometimes we have to hit the bottom before we look up. That is what happened to Jonah.
Lesson: Hitting bottom is not the end of the story. It can be the start of God's rescue.
